The BBC - Bullshit, Bias and Cant

The BBC is the 'Voice' that has been taking the British message across the World for the past 80 years or so. It used to be trusted.

It was 'Aunty' to most of its listeners and watchers. That was a happy, family sort of relationship with its many nephews and neices.

She has a sister in Australia, the ABC, not to be confused with the American ABC. In Australia the ABC is called Aunty too.

Note the nice Blue, Conservative colour. That's how they started out.

That is their cover. Nice old sisters. But these became lunatic sisters, riven with family secrets and deceptions. Old biddies. Nasty habits. They are jealous and spiteful and have their biases. They dote on some rather nasty people that are known con-men and media-whores, nonebrities, filth-merchants and furriners.

Both are besotted with dark skinned men with deep brown eyes. Lordy knows what they get up to at night fantasising in their beds.

And religious fanatics. They don't just gravitate to them; they attend worship of their false Gods Gaia and Gore with them and contribute to the vast collection plates. Not with their own money, of course, but yours. These sisters are wholly supported by the taxpayer.

They are now the voice of Londonistan.

In the P&B Bar last night we were treated to some home truths by the Grumpy Old Sod from the UK who was telling all around of the complaints he had made and the things he has discovered about just what goes on in the sister's grotty minds.

It wasn't pretty.

It took a lot of pint-pulling to get it all out of him  but the takings were worth it.

"I have made five formal complaints in the last four years about the BBC's biased reporting of the climate change issue. It is still firmly behind the now largely-discredited man-made global warming myth, and refuses to admit that the “consensus” among scientists was always questionable and is now virtually non-existent. Frankly, its reporting on this subject is nothing short of propaganda.

And we all know why: the BBC has actually invested in global warming.  “The BBC Pension Trust is worth about £8 billion ... invested in the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC) alongside another 50 plus member funds. The total assets of this consortium is around 4 trillion (Euros), that in turn are invested in a larger consortium known as ‘UNEP FI’ worth about $15 trillion (US).

UNEP FI is fast becoming seriously embarrassed with its strong ties to the now discredited Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that lurches from one climate data fraud scandal to another. Nonetheless, the UNEP FI puts on a smug face and gleefully describes itself as, “a global partnership between UNEP and the financial sector. Over 180 institutions, including banks, insurers and fund managers, work with UNEP to understand the impacts of environmental and social considerations on financial performance.”

The chairman of IIGCC and BBC head of pensions investment Peter Dunscombe said: “The credibility of emissions trading schemes would be greatly improved with a robust price signal as well as clear and frequent communication from the regulator on trading data and improved transparency over direct government participation in schemes.”

Yes, you did read that correctly:

“IIGCC chairman and BBC head of pensions investment Peter Dunscombe…”

The BBC is in the chair of this carbon trading driven investment scheme.

Now you know why the BBC’s thought police have been censoring climate skeptics shamelessly for years.”

GOS said he has made at least five formal complaints to the BBC over the last three years, alleging that the BBC is ignoring its responsibility for balanced reporting. The most recent example was when a programme about scientists' predictions gave full credence to the forecasts of Paul Ehrlich, the completely discredited so-called “scientist”.

The reason he (Ehrlich) is discredited is that he's a total fruit-loop who in the 1970s claimed that by the end of the 20th Century India would have ceased to exist as a nation, millions of Americans would have starved, England would have been reduced to barbarism through lack of food, and the oceans of the world would be completely devoid of life so that it would be impossible to approach the coasts for the stench of rotting fish.

Not someone on whom to rely, then, but this fact seems to have escaped the BBC.

When The GOS pointed this out to them, they thanked him for his comment and then ignored what he'd said, as it didn't fit in with their own distorted world-view.

Even the most gullible of TV viewers are now becoming tired of the constant reiteration of threat. Not a wild-life programme is screened these days that does not include warnings that this or that life-form is in imminent danger of extinction because of global warming, with the implicit suggestion that it's our fault and we ought to do something about it, though they usually stop short of saying what can actually be done by the average man in the street about some insignificant little rat in the deepest jungles of Venezuela.
Old Grumpy was especially grumpy telling us of the think tank report that questioned the BBC’s impartiality, criticising it for “pro-immigration”. (  http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/ )

The study, by Catholic Herald deputy editor Ed West, criticises several instances where it is felt that the corporation has not given equal weight to pro- and anti-immigration coverage. The report, which relies on material from 1997 to present, criticises a number of flagship BBC offerings, including the Today programme and Newsnight. The study “Groupthink: can we trust the BBC on immigration?” was published by think tank The New Culture Forum.

Former BBC business editor Jeff Randall is quoted in it as saying that when he was at the BBC, before moving to Sky News in 2007, multiculturalism was “supported” by the BBC. He said: “Don’t take my word for it because, when I complained to the BBC about our coverage of asylum-seekers, this is what I got back from the very senior BBC news executive: ‘Jeff, the BBC internally is not neutral about multiculturalism. It believes in it, and it promotes diversity.

Let’s face up to that.’ “Now, does that sound like impartiality to you?”

It sounds just like the BBC to me. And the ABC. But heck, I am just a bar-keeping, Knackered Old Knight.  Perfect host for a Grumpy Old Sod.

  1. But stayed tuned.... because later the Beeb has a piece about the first female combat pilot in the Pakistan Air Force and another about a woman train-driver in Mozambique.

Taxpayers' money well spent of course.

  2. Just ads to the rain that Global Warming is supposed to stop in Oz. But at least one 'modern Hurricane pilot and one train driver female is not the deluge and tornados/hurricanes that are supposed to spring up every other day according to the same global warming. Any day now Dr Who will regenerate as a woman. Now THAT will be the end times.

Our Bouncer is a gentleman of muscle and guile. His patience has limits. He will check you at the door.

The Tavern gets rowdy visitors from time to time. Some are brain dead and some soul dead. They attack customers and the bar staff and piss on the carpets. Those people will not be allowed in anymore. So... Be Nice..
